HDR - From Nikon Coolpix 3200

This photo was taken by my youngest sister, Norlini, using a Nikon Coolpix 32oo (3.2 MP) a few months back while performing her Umrah.
I cropped a little, then converted to HDR using a single Jpeg as in my HDR Tutorial here .

Here's how the photo looks like right out of the camera!

HDR - From a single JPG

I have been told that in order to do HDR, we need multiples or at least 3 RAW files of the same image. Or that JPGs wouldn't be good enough due to dynamic range issues. Maybe this example of mine had "enough" dynamic range, who knows...lol!
This photo was taken during the Cyber-Shot show held recently at the AEON JUSCO Tebrau City, JB.
The other photo is from the Bob's Homestay Resort assignment, a main attraction of the resort.

What I did was to Open the JPG under Camera Raw of CS3, then changed the Mode to 16Bit and Saved it under .TIFF.
Then I opened it in Photomatix Pro, the similar process under my HDR How To's...
It looks like a pretty decent conversion to HDR, doesn't it?
You be the judge..let me know, please.

HDR - From a single RAW

Here's my attempt at HDR. And I have realised that in order to achieve the HDR effects as shown below, we need to have both Photoshop CS3 AND Photomatix Pro. Each on its own did not deliver as I wanted. After lots of tweakings, late nights and references...at last!
